Three Hundred Aesop's Fables, Literally Translated from the Greek

114 engraved scenes in text; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 224 pages; 1st edition collected in this translation illustrated by Weir. In original bevelled green cloth with pictorial title designs in gilt. Cloth splitting over the front hinge; endpages sound and board attached. Several incipient breaks to the inner binding with middle signatures starting. Cloth a little rubbed though and bumped at corners with crimping and light fray at spine ends. Noteworthy for the fine illustrations, this copy is loose and broken; a simple rebacking would put it right. Good only thus
